Women in Thrival:  Building a Strong, Stable House:  Setting Up and Running a New Business or Practice™.

This 9-week course for women entrepreneurs walks you through the steps to forming a business with a good infrastructure and systems.  You need not have started your business yet or be sure what products and/or services you are going to offer.  This class will help you gain clarity in what you desire for your business.

 

In order for the Universe to bring you a thriving, prosperous business you desire, you need to have a container for the blessings to come into.  Building a business is like building a house.  First you need a strong foundation; this is your vision and the structure or form of the business.  Without this, anything you build on top of it has the potential to crumble, the whole building – or business- is unstable.  Second you build strong walls; this is the financial and accounting structure of your business.  The strong walls hold everything in and protects the occupants and contents of the house.  The third thing you need is a strong roof; this is your business systems, policies, and procedures.  They shelter you in the form of agreements.  They inform and ensures everyone knows how to do things they way you want them to and what you expect.

 

This course covers these steps to building a strong, stable business in 3 modules:

 

Module 1.  The Foundation:  The Vision and Form (2 weeks)

In this module we will cover your vision for your business, not only your products and/or services but your long-term dreams and goals.  What is your mission, why are you doing this business?  Where do you envision it going?  How do you see it growing?  All of these questions are necessary to determine what legal form is needed for your business or practice.  From here, you learn what forms you need to file, how to open a business banking account, and what other forms you need, such as a Reseller’s Tax Permit, Business License, etc.

 

Module 2.  The Walls:  The Financial Structure (5 weeks)

Now that you have the foundation of the vision and the form of the business or practice, we will work on the financial and accounting structure.  In this module the capital requirements and types of sources will be covered.  You will work on your Revenue Streams along with your Revenue Funnel – this is what you are going to do to generate income.  Then you will work on your expenses, both what it costs to generate your income and what it costs just to be in business.  You will receive a primer of accounting and what all those reports mean.  Every business decision you make has a direct impact on your financial statements.  This is why your accounting is so important.  It tells you if your decisions were good – or not.

 

Module 3.  The Roof:  The Systems (2 weeks)

Now that you have a foundation and walls, you need a roof; this is the systems, policies and procedures for your business.  You know what products and/or services you will be providing, you now need to know how you are going to provide them and at what price.  This includes your pricing policies, policies and procedures for getting new clients or customers and their initial intake.  It includes how money is received by you or your employees.  If you are going to have employees – you will learn what systems, policies, and procedures you need to have for a good working environment. 

 

Between the class discussions and the homework assignments you will have a solid blue-print for building your strong, stable business or practice.  In fact, you will have many key items needed for your business plan. 

 

The cost for the amount of material we’ll be covering and the building of your business plan could easily be $1,350.  However, if you act now, your investment in building your strong, stable business is just $597 for the 9 weeks!  An installment plan of 2 installments of $300 each is available.

Women in Thrival:  Business Thrival Monthly Guidance Program:  Empower Yourself - Empower Your Business™. 

 

This is an on-going monthly program for women who have established businesses, graduates of the Building a Strong, Stable House Program™, and women interested in starting or running a thriving business.  The main focus is on the business processes and management “leg” of the Business Success Model™. 

 

Topics will cover this “leg” which includes the infrastructure and systems of the business, the financial and accounting system, AND the personnel managing or running the business.  All of these have to be established and functioning.  A major focus of this program is how you can implement these valuable and necessary items into YOUR business or practice. 

 

In addition, the attitudes of the management personnel have to be one of thriving before the business itself can thrive.  This is especially important when your business is an entrepreneurship, a professional practice, or a small business.  In these cases, you as the owner ARE the business.  Whatever is happening in your life has a direct impact on your business.  Therefore, you need to be doing personal development work to maintain your self-empowerment and to be in a position of strength for your business.  Your decisions and your life affects your business.  Therefore, personal development, empowerment, and Thrival principles will also be included in the monthly topics.

 

This program consists of a monthly teleclass between 60 – 75 minutes.  The topics of discussion and additional study materials will be sent to you before each session.  These materials contain discussion notes of the topic, questions to get you thinking about YOUR business, and exercises to give you added value.  You will have the opportunity to email in your questions before the session.  The session materials will give you the hands-on tools you need to implement the topics discussed immediately into your business or practice. 

 

From time to time, members and other experts will be invited to be the guest leader for a session to share their information and experience with the rest of the group.

• Quarterly Review of QuickBooks Accounting Files.  Do you have just a basic bookkeeper or trying to do it all yourself?  I can review your accounting on a quarterly basis to ensure your books are in order and all the transactions recorded properly.  I can make any adjustments necessary for them to be up to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles standards.

• Quarterly Review of Business.  Do you need an outside perspective on your business and how its progressing?  We can discuss your business in-depth and analyze where you need additional focus.  Note:  This is NOT a “certified” review of your financial statements for bonding, lending, or other requirements.

• Private Guidance Coaching.  Want some additional guidance or accountability in your implementation program?  Are you a member of the Monthly Guidance Program and want some individual time?  Do you have a specific question for your business?  I have available a limited number of private on-on-one 30-minute guidance coaching sessions.  This can be business or personal related.
